The Penultimate Blog Post...

Well it was kind of weird when Steve said get on with your penultimate post, and it made me think that there isn't really much time left for this project, or the first year.

On the brightside, I have practically finished my style guide and the corporate ID and I am quite happy with what I have done. I think it does communicate the correct image for Ambient World and it shows its electronic side whilst also being quite vibrant and fresh.

I've explored an idea of a badge similar to the CIA's for my album artwork but I just can't seem to get it right and it's not really going the way I wanted it to. The album is called S.H.A.D.O and its by the Higher Intelligence Agency so you can see where I got the CIA badge theme from. But the badge just doesn't fit in with the music visually. It needs to be a lot darker, spookier and more mysterious. I may go back to one of my other ideas and try and develop that further. I really want to get my camera involved for my cover though so I hope some of photography skills will be displayed when I hand in my final piece.

I've got some ideas of what I would like to do photography-wise. My album title gives me ideas to do something to do with cameras or CCTV due to its dark and mysterious nature. I'm going to do the photography over the weekend so I can get my cover nailed and then get the pre flight document done ready for submission standard.

At the moment there seems to be a lot of work to be done and little time to do it, but I think it's this pressure that sometimes (or all the time in some peoples case) gets you motivated to do the best work you can.

Scary thought eh? Last blog post of the year.

It's a shame that you've decided not to go for the badge idea, I would have liked to see how it turned out. Good on you though for realising it wouldn't work before you reached the point of no return.

Can't wait to see what you do come up with though, hope you stick it up on here when you're done. Have you got the website finished now?

The badge idea is not out of the question, I'm thinking of using that for my CD.

My styleguide is now finished so I can fully concentrate on my packaging and I have also started my evaluation early due to the fact that Steve thought it was a bit rushed last time and I don't want to fall into that trap again.
